Law 2 - Game Play
A Hit is a Hit
When Hit on any part of the body, a Player must shout out loud, “Hit! TeamColour Medic!” (if it is their first hit)
or “Hit!” if they have already been Medic’ed
this must be at such volume as to be heard by Match Officials and other Players.
A Hit to a Player’s primary weapon will be indicated by a shout of “Gun-Hit!” and the Player may continue.
All players within five (5) metres of any pyro or other simulated grenade explosion who are within an
enclosed space and/or not shielded fully by solid terrain shall also be deemed Hit.
Hit Players must not communicate ANY information by voice or other signal to other Players including,
but not limited to, the source of any Hit, location of enemy Players or in-game assets such as,
for example, LootBLXTM.
Hitting a member of the Player’s own Team will result in both Players taking Hits.
Only true 50/50 ‘trading of shots’ (with NO additional move by either player) will result in both
Players taking Hits – any movement to ‘bring to bear’ will result in that Player alone taking the Hit.
Hit Players must immediately stop any activity and raise their hand above shoulder height and,
may take a knee to avoid cross-fire/overshooting.
A Hit player may also take a single step in any direction out of the line of fire.
The Hit Player must produce their Medic Band and hold this ready for any in-coming team-mate.
NB: Hit player does NOT fit the Medic Band themselves
Any Hit Player who is not revived within fifteen (15) seconds of being hit MUST audibly shout,
“Team Colour Bleeding out!”, and immediately return to their reSpawn Point.
The Medic Rule
Any team-mate may revive the Hit Player by making and holding contact with them for an audible count of five (5) seconds
Medic may move the downed player up to six feet (2 metres) out of the line of fire/into cover.
When the Medic count is in progress the two Players become a single target, at this time if either
Player or Medic are hit, the count stops, and both players must return to their reSpawn point -
regardless of how many hits already taken by either.
On successful completion of Medic Count, the Medic will attach the downed Players’ Medic Band
to the Player who must audibly shout “Back In”. Both players are now free play on.
The revived player must wear the Medic Band until they are hit once more,
at which point they must return to their reSpawn, where they will remove and stash the Medic Band/Bandage.
If no-one is available to safely Medic a hit Player back in, they MUST wait for a count of fifteen (15) seconds
and then, on an audible shout of "Team Colour Bleeding-out", they return to their reSpawn.
We run these medic rules on most games – it helps to learn these in advance.
The Arena
The field of play for the Match shall be as determined by the SAL Referee in consultation
with Match Officials and The Venue, and may be specifically determined/amended for an
individual Game Type as set-out and Documented.
The Arena boundary may, at the discretion of the SAL and in consultation with the Venue,
be marked and otherwise designated by RED line marking , lighting, barriers or other methods
to ensure the Match is contained within its boundaries.
For the Health & Safety of Players and Match Official alike, it is strongly recommended
that Players do NOT run within the Arena.
The Arena will have designated reSpawn Points, which will be monitored by Match Officials
and MUST not be targeted by Players during the Match – doing so will constitute
Foul Play and may result in disciplinary action.
There will be a SpawnLine, marked in YELLOW or BLUE at an agreed distance from each reSpawn, marking out the
area where hits are ignored. Players MUST not shoot into or out of the SpawnArea, and
Players from the designated Yellow team must not enter the Blue SpawnArea, and vice-versa
- doing so will constitute Foul Play and may result in disciplinary action.
Weapon Limits
All weapons used shall comply with the Venue’s published and accepted Limits,
and be subject to Chronograph checks before Play starts and subject to such checks at any time.
